This is Broadcast Lane Studios central Console a 1967 Spectra Sonics console decommissioned from Heinz Hall Pittsburgh and retired to WQED TV where it recorded and Mixed "Mr Rodger's Neighborhood for many years, and many other legendary Pittsburgh TV Shows. This recording console is also the legendary American "Sound of Soul music as the Spectra Sonics was the main Console in the soul scen on the 1960 and 1970's at Stax Records and at Ardent in Memphis and York. This is a legedary console with a legendary Vintage sound that modern gear can not match or touch! This shot is the day we got it before dusting it off! It is currently being restored technitions, John Blech and Brian Duguay and will be operational at our new location summer 2009 with a MCI 2" analog Tape Deck.
